Dice Types Explained

D4 (Tetrahedron):
4-sided die, pyramid-shaped. Used in D&D for small weapons damage.
D6 (Cube):
Standard 6-sided die used in most board games.
D8 (Octahedron):
8-sided die used for medium weapons in D&D.
D10 (Pentagonal Trapezohedron):
10-sided die, also used as percentile (00-90 + D10 = 1-100).
D12 (Dodecahedron):
12-sided die used for greataxe damage and some class features.
D20 (Icosahedron):
The iconic D&D die — used for all attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws.
D100 (Percentile):
Represents a percentage (1-100) for probability-based outcomes.

Advantage and Disadvantage (D&D 5e)

In D&D 5th Edition, rolling with advantage means rolling two dice and keeping the higher result. Rolling with disadvantage means rolling two dice and keeping the lower result. Our roller handles this automatically — just check the appropriate option.
